Canon EOS 60D is the direct successor to the Canon EOS 50D. It delivers not only 1080p Full HD recording, but also comes additional improvements over the older model. It comes with a new 18MP CMOS sensor, an improved 63-zone metering system, aspect 1.04m-dot rear LCD monitor.

DIGIC 4 Image Processor

The Canon EOS 60D features a new DIGIC 4 Image Processor for finer detail and excellent color reproduction. It also improved ISO capabilities from ISO 100 - 6400 (expandable to 12800) for uncompromised shooting even in the dimmest situations. The new Multi-control Dial enables users to conveniently operate menus and enter settings with a simple touch.

The EOS 60D DSLR's quality feature are all possible thanks to the DIGIC 4 Image Processor. Features like new 3:2 multiple aspect ratio, in-camera RAW image processing, creative filters, S2 and S3 image-recording quality

The new DIGIC 4 Image processor also works to capture and process data of images shot at 18.0 Megapixels at 5.3 fps. As well as 14-bit signal processing for excellent image gradation, enhanced Face Detection Live mode, Auto Lighting Optimizer and Lens Peripheral Optimization.

New 3.0" Vari-angle LCD monitor

Canon EOS 60D also features a Vari-angle 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor for easy low- or high-angle viewing. An improved viewfinder, a number of new in-camera creative options and filters. Likewise, it features HDMI output for viewing images on an HDTV all make the EOS 60D invaluable for the evolving photographer. With continuously curved surfaces, user-friendliness and exuding solidity and refinement.

The EOS 60D captures 1920x1080p Full HD video with a variety of user-selectable frame rates, including 30fps, 25fps and 24fps, as well as 720p video at 60fps and 50fps. The EOS 60D is true digital inspiration with Movie Crop recording in 640 x 480.

Unlike entry level camera the Canon 60D's AF sensor is unchanged from the 50D. It still features a 9-point diamond array, with nine cross-type f/5.6 AF points for both vertical or horizontal lines.

Canon EOS 60D digital camera body is made from aluminium and polycarbonate resin with glass fibre, unlike, the magnesium alloy seen on the EOS 7D and the previous 50D. This dslr camera comes with one of the best camera bodies in its built.

Eye-Fi connected functions

For photographers who want to transfer content wirelessly, the EOS 60D includes Eye-Fi connected functions. The EOS 60D features a dedicated Eye-Fi section in the User Interface that allows WiFi functionality to be turned off when not required, thus saving battery life.

Canon EOS 70D

Canon EOS 70D is the upgraded and rebranded model of EOS 60D with major upgrades where necessary.

Like EOS 60D, the Canon EOS 70D is reasonably sharp given the high resolution of the of the device. While the Canon 70D inherits the articulating, 3-inch, 1 million dot screen from the Canon 60D, it is now a touchscreen. Like the Canon EOS 700D and Canon EOS 650D, the autofocus point can be changed via the touchscreen when shooting in Live View.

Canon EOS 80D
