Gionee S8s Overview

Gionee S8s is a brand new device from Gionee with a wide notch which is dubbed the “Notch Fullview Display”. This mid-range device has a 5.86-inch display with HD 1520 x 720 pixels screen resolution and of course, a 19:9 aspect ratio.

Gionee S8s packed dual cameras; a main 13MP shooter which is accompanied by a secondary 5MP depth sensor camera, making portrait mode photos possible. It is also equipped with a dual-LED flash for those low light shots. The front facing camera is a single 8MP camera catering for all the selfies needs.

Under the hood, the Gionee S8s is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 which has an Octa-core Processor clocked at 2.0GHz paired with an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU clocked at 650MHz. There is also 3GB of RAM for smooth multitasking and 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded further, up to 128GB via the onboard dedicated microSD slot. This device also runs the latest version of the Android Operating System – Android 9.0 Pie – out of the box which has the Gionee UI slapped on top of course.

Gionee is packed with a 3,000mAh battery which should be able to get you through the day “with ease” according to Gionee. The battery also equipped with fast charging which Gionee boasts will get you a full charge in less than an hour. It has 4G LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, WiFi, WiFi hotspot, GPS and even a USB Type-C port with support for USB On The Go.
